Print on Demand Trophy 2019

featuring the Durham University Alumni Polo Weekend

Home Teams JPEG.jpg

Andy Cork, Silver Leys Polo Club Chairman, is bringing the Print on Demand Trophy back for another year. We are expecting a fast, fun low goal extravaganza with the usual culprits entering the draw for a sunny weekend of polo down at the club. Grab a pitchside space, some food from the clubhouse and listen out for the commentary to give you a blow-by-blow of all the events on the field.

We are delighted to be welcoming the Durham University Polo Club and the East India Club to Silver Leys for the 17th August as they battle out their alumni tournament. There will be matches of all levels from Beginners to Open - all showcasing incredible student and alumni polo talent. It will be a great opportunity for the grassroots players, who may have only started riding horses recently, to get out onto the grounds and show off! We're sure the students will keep the social side of the club in good form too!

Whether you are looking for a delicious salad or you are just grabbing a locally-sourced burger from our clubhouse bbq, there is something for everyone. Enjoy the afternoon serenaded by one of our friendly live artists, providing the perfect backdrop to polo in the sunshine - if you want to find out more about their music and book them for your own event (at the club or at home), just get in touch with one of our event team.

Clubhouse Food

Tuck into hand-made salads, Aberdeen Angus burgers (with or without cheese) from Humphreys' in Bishop's Stortford, spinach and quinoa vegetarian burgers and home-made cakes for a truly spectacular picnic beside the polo field. Grab a bottle of bubbly, a plate of delicious food, a schedule of the play and relax in the sunshine with the nail-biting action on the field for entertainment.
